    Home Warranties can come in handy!

    We have always carried a home warranty… in addition to homeowner’s insurance. I’ve seen them run anywhere from $400 to $1100 a year; you should definitely shop around as they aren’t all created equal.  Although we could certainly use that $70 a month toward something else, I stand behind the importance of having a warranty. Homes are crazy expensive and you never know when something will go out. Obviously it’s up to the owner to get one or not, but I’ll never go without one.     Finding that “perfect” home… or not…

    So here we are… looking for a new home. Today’s market is crazy. 2018 is definitely a seller’s market. As sellers, we cleaned up the home, packed and staged, made it look and smell pretty for the open house. We had one offer prior to listing (on a Friday) and I believe 5 Total to review on Sunday. Ultimately, our home sold in 2 days! (and there is probably another post in there somewhere). But now we are on the other side… Home are being snatched up so quickly.     Now you can do this sooner, but this is where we are at currently. It’s March and we’d like to move at the end of the school year. June always seems like a good month to move. We moved from ND to NE in June. We moved from NE to AZ in June. We said we’d never move again… and… well… here we are! We are about 60-90 days out.
